Millennials, technology to feature heavily at GiGse 2016

April 6, 2016 — by Casey Rock

The future of casino gaming is a giant question mark these days. Whether it deals with millennials and how to acquire younger players or what new technological trends to pursue, the industry is at a pivotal crossroads.

These topics and more will be tackled at GiGse this month in San Francisco. The annual event is put on by Clarion – which also hosts other big-name casino gaming conferences such as ICE, EiG and more. This year’s show will include over 700 of the biggest names in the North American gaming industry – including Caesars Interactive, MGM Resorts, IGT, Scientific Games and more.

Millennials and Innovation

For 2016, GiGse is putting a special emphasis on the millennial problem with their Millennial Summit – one and a half days of content devoted to millennials and their gaming habits. Speakers will address what millennials are currently spending money on, how to speed up innovation, skill-based gaming, and the future of social casino, esports and daily fantasy sports (DFS) – as well as how to integrate them into the casino floor.

There is a huge buzz around Millennials at present, and this is a great opportunity to come together to talk about what makes them tick and what impact they can have as part of the gaming sector.

Sadie Walters, Senior Events Producer at Clarion, says “There is a huge buzz around Millennials at present, and this is a great opportunity to come together to talk about what makes them tick and what impact they can have as part of the gaming sector.”

Outside of the Millennial Summit, GiGse will continue to maintain its dedicated focus on all the traditional aspects of casino gaming as well. The three-day agenda is packed with sessions on branding, product portfolios, regulations and both industry and global politics. Additionally, there will be a focus on emerging technologies such as virtual reality.

Dedicated to the audience

All in all, GiGse promises to be an informative and insightful event for those in attendance. “2016 will see GiGse capitalize on the dynamic between the technology heartland of San Francisco and some exciting new content to target an important peripheral, digitally led audience, as well as our very loyal following” Walters says.

In addition to lectures and panels, GiGse will also provide numerous opportunities for networking – from breakfasts and lunches to the conference’s pre-GiGse mingle on April 26. The conference officially kicks off on April 27th. To learn more, head to GiGse’s website: http://www.gigse.com/.
