Game Title: Guilt Battle Arena
Developer: Invincible Cat
Platform: Console
Website: www.invinciblecat.com
Country: Canada

Guilt Battle Arena is a fast-paced gunfight for up to four players, but this gunfight includes surviving chicken rain, dodging exploding cats while you escape the flying controllers. Don’t forget the exploding bomb. And you have only one bullet!

The game includes seven different modes and the ability to customize matches. For example, you could speed up the game or play with a jetpack.

Guilt Battle Arena was a finalist in the Full Indie event in Vancouver, May 24, 2017. It has also been featured on Gamejolt and Square Enix Collective.

Game Title: duOS
Developer: Team duOS
Platform: Desktop Win
Website: https://www.duosthegame.com/
Country: United States

Have you ever thought that you might be your own first choice to be on your team? duOS allows you to do just that. It is a multiplayer platformer that you play by yourself. You control two characters, record the actions of one, then play it back and interact with that character as the other character. There is fast-paced action and thought-provoking puzzles, but to succeed in overcoming the obstacles you must team up with yourself.

Game Title: Iron Tides
Developer: Crash Wave Games
Platform: Desktop Win
Website: www.irontides.com
Country: Canada

Do you believe the Vikings were the greatest warriors ever? Then Iron Tides is a game you will be eager to play. You are cast in the role of Viking Chieftain, leading your war band in a series of raids and traveling farther and farther over the treacherous seas. You must use all your cunning as well as timing and positioning to survive the fury of battle.

Reviews of Iron Tides are calling it “rogue – done right” and say it “could be the Viking simulator you’ve been looking for.”

Game Title: Light Tracer
Developer: Oasis Games/Void Dimensions
Platform: VR desktop/console
Website: http://en.console.oasgames.com/
Country: China

Light Tracer is a VR game where the key to advancing often lies in how you look at things. It is a platformer with a princess on a quest, but you, the player, are her only hope of completing her quest. In this puzzle adventure you must lead the princess in climbing a Babylonian tower to save her country.

Light Tracer is still in development and features different game mechanics than is usual in VR games.

Game Title: Vidar
Developer: Razbury Games
Platform: Desktop Win
Website: www.vidarthegame.com
Country: United States

Vidar is a game that is different every time you play it. As each game begins a random villager is killed. Every villager is affected, and the story evolves in response to your decisions and also to random events. You never know quite what will happen as you attempt to stop the killings by exploring an environmental puzzle dungeon with hundreds of options. The game was described by Kotaku as a “well-written, gripping and ever-changing story line propelled forward by a Majora’s Mask-esque time crunch.”

Vidar has received a number of awards including:

  • Finalist at SXSW Gaming Pitch Competition
  • Nominee for 2016 Bit Awards Best PC/Console Game
  • Selected Finalist at Intel Developer Showcase
  • MAGFest 13 – Indie Showcase Game
  • Boston FIG – Indie Showcase Game
  • Honorable Mention at Indie Revolution Expo

Game Title: Don’t Kill the Knight
Developer: Penguin Spot Games Ltd.
Platform: iOS
Website: https://www.penguinspot.com
Country: Brazil

He may look like a knight, but, in fact, the character in Don’t Kill the Knight is actually a jester in knight’s clothing. He is running for his life in the king’s royal tracks. Help this character avoid the traps and survive the obstacles he faces. The controls are simple but there are more than 300 traps and countless behaviors, so it is very difficult to master the game.

Penguin Spot Games claim this is “the funniest, silliest, most death packed and ridiculously addictive running game ever.
