Southeast Asia, the Rising Star of the Gaming World

To answer the question why targets SEA, the founder of the IMGA Maarten Noyons commented: “Southeast Asia is rightly held up around the world as a hotbed of mobile gaming talent, showing tremendous download and revenue growth year-on-year. As all eyes look to Asia, we are proud to bring IMGA here to celebrate this creative and exciting industry, and can’t wait to see what we ultimately unveil from the community during our ceremony event.”

According to Newzoo, 47% of the global game market comes from Asia and only in Southeast Asia the gamers’ population has already reached 126 millions. It shows not only a great development of gaming industry in this area during recent years but also a potential for the mobile game market to grow to 2,200 million dollars by 2018 in SEA.
