Indie Prize is a scholarship program for up-and-coming indie developers that unites developers all around the globe to discover the brightest and most talented indie games. The finalists are always announced one month before the upcoming showcase and announced at www.indeprize.org. Developers from more than 60 countries all over the world apply with more than 1,000 applications received during the year.
Meet the best and the brightest from Paraguay, China, Brazil, Estonia, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Colombia and USA. Indie Prize, an international scholarship program created by Computer Games Association for independent game developers, announced the winners of the 19th Indie Prize Awards during Indie Prize Seattle at Casual Connect USA 2017 – representing the best of the best in independent game design and innovation:
Game Title: Lila’s Tale

Immerse yourself in a fantastic and artistic experience, inside a dungeon crawler, crafted for Virtual Reality. Explore the mysteries lying beneath the dungeon, solve chain reaction puzzles and keep Lila safe to find her lost little brother.
The game was selected to Indie Pitch Arena during GMGC Beijing 2017 and will be released in 2017.

Silver Grapple is a 2D platformer about swinging through the air with a grappling hook, exploring the ruins of a disaster struck laboratory and uncovering its secrets.
Silver Grapple was displayed at GCAP 2016 Student Showcase.
Eight games from Taiwan, one game from Thailand and two games from Vietnam continues the list of developers from Southeast Asia who were selected to participate in the international Indie Prize showcase during Casual Connect Asia 2017 in Singapore.

Magnesia is a 2D puzzle game made by 18 Light. Player plays as a little robot Orsted. Explore the mysterious planet Magnesia. This planet contains some special substances which create powerful magnetic force. The substances maintain planet’s resident basic living, but humans are eager to get it due to the energy shortage on earth, so the war begin between three groups, humans that want to conquer, humans that protect Magnesia and residents on Magnesia. In this situation, Orsted has to determine what and who she should trust.

The Letter is a non-chronological, horror visual novel game with seven playable characters. It also features full English voice acting, several branching paths with more than 10 endings, highly animated character sprites and backgrounds, and quick-time events.

Pixel Gear is a colorful 3D pixel shoot-em-up with a variety of humorous cartoon monsters, zombies and ghosts as enemies to defeat. The game includes six levels that are filled with a variety of interactive objects that exhibit entertaining reactions when hit, and a host of upgradeable weapons as well as defensive objects.
Four games from France, three games from Germany and three games from United Kingdom will represent Western Europe at the international Indie Prize showcase during Casual Connect Asia 2017 in Singapore.
LILY – COLORS OF SANTA LUZ, SKYBOLT ZACK and Sticky Boy – games that were developed by students from ISART DIGITAL who will be graduated in July 2017. Isart Digital is a french school specialized in video games and 3D animation-VFX.

Developers from six countries will represent Eastern Europe at Indie Prize during Casual Connect Asia in Singapore. Five games from Poland, two games from Spain and one game from Czech Republic, Russia, Cyprus, Italy and Turkey.
The single representative from Italy is the game Downward. The game was nominated by Indie Prize nomination partner in Italy: Codemotion Rome. Codemotion is the biggest tech conference in EMEA. It is about all programming languages and technologies.
